Hey maaaan, I like you guys. And I say guys because either the women are paranoid enough or control-freak enough to act straight or they just don’t get hiiiigh before Chego. Just not their style. Mebbes.

But I like you guys. Y’all are always friendly, have a tendency to tip (which our kitchen staff and bussers super appreciate) and are so patient when waiting for your food. And so super considerate. So much love to you dudes.

(( H U G ))

Just, if you can manage it, try to figure out what you want by the time you get to the register if there’s a line behind you. And I know you’re just trying to be nice, but don’t bother counting for exact change. It takes a lot longer than you probably think it does. A LOT LONGER. But other than that, love you!

Between you dudes and the lovebirds still in their honeymoon phases, I can’t tell you which group is nicer. ^___^

Just wanted to give a small token of a shout out to the tokers at Chego is all.

ALSO — I was Facebooking around late last night when an old friend/flame uploaded a video on some kinda set he recently played somewheres.

Anyway, the set is AMAZING and I wanted to share it with y’all. Hopefully it won’t be annoying the way it’s annoying when strangers share with you their baby pictures. Or worse — dog pictures. And if so, you can scroll down to the other videos.

But yeah. ^___^

WordySoulspeak – Music Please from dj wordy on Vimeo.

Siiiiiiiiigh. It’s kinda nice to know that he’s kept the moniker Soulspeak from his HS and college days after a 3-year phase of wanting to change his name a hundred million times. O__O

I know a lot of restaurants at special events nights hire DJs, but wouldn’t this thing kinda take everything to the next level?

SORRY. YOU CAN’T HIRE HIM. HE’S IN CHINA RIGHT NOW.

Speaking of AZNs, here are my favorite videos of the week. Thanks, Youtube. You’ll be cool until we are no longer cool, which may or may not become a reality now that ACTA (which is supposedly worse than SOPA) is underway.

In any case, let us allllllllllll enjoy these videos. WHILE WE STILL CAN!!! YAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!11one

Heeeee. THIS WEEK, I can’t seem to thread together a linear-enough narrative, so consider this post a piñata of all that I found good and interesting this week — a fruit salad, if you will.

Speaking of fruit and stringing together a linear narrative, I’ll post up a few pics so you can string along your own narrative and guess at one of the cool side projects we’ve been working on the past few months.

FRUIT.

CHULO.

Go CRAAAZY with it, kids!

In other news, you might have caught a glimpse of our Papi Chulo with Tony Bourdain on The Layover last night on the Travel Channel.

LIKE A BOSS.

You can click on the above pic for the LA K-town/Hanin-Town segment. No, Papi’s not that short, it’s just that Anthony Bourdain’s tall LIKE A BEAST. (I should know. I saw him once across a crowded room. He is GIANT in a Colin Quinn kinda way, not an Andre kinda way.) Plus the camera angle.

It’d be super cool if one of these day’s there’s a feature on a solid food-centered show on our K-Town, since it’s supremely MASSIVE and SPREAD OUT like peanut butter on toast in comparison to the other K-Towns across the country. There’s just so many of us, we’re even bleeding into parts of J-Town. (Gomenne, former colonizers.) History loves irony.

But, for now, I can be fairly happy with the cozy little corner Da Sung Sa took up in the episode.

Oh, and random — hath anyone ever heard of Lady Redbud/Chinese Redbud Woman?

Aside from being super hot, she’s actually doing her part in helping people in need.

Last May she was spotted handing out cold, hard CASH and food to people in Hong Kong. Over Christmas, she was seen handing out food, warm clothing and gifts to beggars and homeless people. And even though it was supposedly sh*tastically cold, she demonstrated her superhuman resistance to hypothermia by wearing nothing but short cape, catsuit and feline blue mask.

She apparently runs a microblog as well, but unless you can read Chinese, it might be a little difficult to follow. You can read more of the story HERE.

Some may accuse of her aiming to attract attention and celebrity with skin-tight clothing and a little cleavage. But isn’t it interesting that she refuses to identify herself? Plus, it has me thinking that at the end of the day, if she wasn’t bone-smokingly hot, it’d be easier to label her as more cray-cray than humanitarian.

Anyway, she definitely inspires the inner fangirl in me, hence I shall consider this phenomenon tentatively ALICE-APPROVED.

Love and tacos like a boss,
Aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

P.S. Speaking of Boss, if you’re a Star Wars fan or interwebs geek, you may find this version of Star Wars Uncut pretty Boss:

“In 2009, Casey Pugh asked thousands of Internet users to remake “Star Wars: A New Hope” into a fan film, 15 seconds at a time. Contributors were allowed to recreate scenes from Star Wars however they wanted. Within just a few months SWU grew into a wild success. The creativity that poured into the project was unimaginable.”

WHAAAAAT? THERE WAS A FREE PUBLIC ENEMY SHOW AND I COULD’VE GOT DOWN WITH SOME TACOS?

Well, there’s always next time, and by next time I mean probably never. THAT said, pay attention to our schedule and y’all should be in the clear the next time something uber cool comes up!

Normally I do these posts Tuesday morning at 6AM, but considering that I have to wake up at 4AM tomorrow/Tuesday to get to the west side at 5AM for a shoot (you can cheer, it’s not a call-time for me as an actor), I probably will either forget or be too distracted/fried to do my usual get-up-at-6AM-on-Tuesdays-to-write-a-blog-post.

On the upside, it’s for A-Frame and involves the F-Network, but on the downside, it’s a long shoot and a lot of moving parts. I’ll probably be zombie-fried by the time I hit up Chego at 5PM.

Yeah, about that, too. You’ll be seeing more of THIS at your favorite rice bowl strip mall joint Tues-Thurs. I say this to excite you and to also warn you that this will be my first week behind a cash register. To save us a lotta grief, I’mma take your orders nice and slooooooooooow to make sure I get it right, so let’s just have y’all try not to yell at me once the line gets backed up and I’ll do my best to not crack under pressure and call for mommy when I’m taking a liiiiiiiiiiiittle too long behind that big machine that speaks numbers and takes your moneys.

I’m a little on the slow side when it comes to learning, but once I get it, I’m pretty quick, so just gimme a good week to adjust.

In the meantime, I encourage y’all to just DANCE it out, peoples. DANCE. IT. OUT. <-- I know, I sound like Tuesday already happened to me. (I just ate a lot of cookies, it’s after 6PM and after the sun goes down, my logic is just shy of passably coherent.)

This video below shall be your compass and guide for passing the time while I figure things out behind the register or am bussing your food. COOL QUIZ: count up how many songs you can identify w/out checking out the credits. It’s CRAZY, you’ll totally surprise yourself.

BOOMBOX from Ely Kim on Vimeo.

And if this STILL isn’t enough Alice to get you through the week, I shall be posting below my top favorite vids for the Sh*t ___ Say meme that’s been infesting youtube these past few weeks/months.

According to the Sh*ts ____ Say, I’m about 4% Armenian, 10% Mexican, 10% Asian, 15% Indian and 65% New Age. And I say this with pride. Can’t wait til They come out with Sh*t Asian Food Bloggers Say. Or better yet, have a throw-down between Asian food bloggers and Yelpers. I would TOTALLY watch that. RAW. (P.S. I laughed out LOUD when the Indian Girls one mentioned Taco Bell and the Mexican Girls one mentioned Shakey’s.)

FIRST OF ALL, a BIG THANK YOU to all the people who voted for all the old neighborhoods they wanted for us to roll back to. Trust. We’ve been listening. EL SEGUNDO — we got you. 1/13. For LUNCH.
<del datetime="2012-01-11T20:41:30+00:00">NORTH HOLLYWOOD — 1/13. DINNER.</del> <-- canceled! sorry! shooting for next week!
DOWNEY -- we're baaack. 1/13. LATE dinner.
HAWTHORNE -- couldn't ignore the love. 1/14. EARLY dinner.

Speaking of stops, we’re shifting up our game again with our schedule and responding a little more to the changes in the natural rhythms and cycles of the Kogi crowd. Before our dinner runs would be 6-9PM, 10-midnight/11:30PM, but now we’re coming in for shorter windows for some sniper hits. Expect us to roll up from now on from 6PM-8:30 and 9:30PM-11PM.

I’ve also allowed for the offices of Kogi take over writing in the schedule for our lovely Rosita (in case you hadn’t noticed) on our website. She’s usually out on a catering run, but apparently this week she’s giving out astrological reports. Something I don’t quite mind, since, apparently, I’ve been deemed as beautiful this week (You shoulda seen me LAST week) and makes a lot more sense than the oddball haikus of last week.

Seems like luck’s a bit tough for Geminis this week and though I’m no Leo, I am seriously considering playing those numbers for the lottery this week. Hey, if they worked for Hugo, they might just work for me.

And, as you can see, I’m not the only perfectly sane person at Kogi.

I know, I know. There are days when we are understocked on tres leches — or sometimes not stocked at all! Our poor Beth Kellerhals is baking as fast as she can with her assistant Dana, but she’s also got the ice creams and other desserts for Chego, A-Frame and Sunny Spot to contend with.

BUT what I CAN do is give y’all a head’s up.

Been playing around with it a bit last week, so we’ll see how this goes/how long this lasts, but I’mma give y’all a head’s up through Twitter how many tres leches and Sriracha bars we got in stock for lunch and dinner runs and also when we’ve sold out.

Last but not least, as advertised last week, the slight bump in prices shall be going into effect THIS WEEK:

THANK YOU. WE LOVE YOU. ::flails arms::

Love, tacos and changes,
Aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

P.S. I know I tweeted this. And put it up on our facebook. And told everybody and their mothers about it, but in case you missed it last week and are a BSG fan, I’mma put it HERE.

It’s just too GOOD! The midi music, the SNES graphics, etc. I’ll even forgive it making fun of the series finale, which I LOVED!, and Ronald D. Moore.

P.P.S. Down in the OC, Kogi + Skateboards go together like gin and tonic, brownies and chronic, super and sonic. In case y’all didn’t know. STAY SOBER! And play with that lettuce.

Hi, hi, all,

As you all know, the cost of food has been steadily increasing over the past few years — so you know what news is coming. We’ve been eating costs left and right for a little over a year to keep prices where they were, but we’ve allowed ourselves a reality check just before the new year and, in turn, seriously discussed what was realistic for the company and what was reasonable for our fans. The thing is, we can run the truck on imaginary money for only so long. Hence THE NAPKIN SITUATION. And its subsequent BACKLASH. Remember that? Remember that time peoples? Back when fun times were had by all. Yay.

ON THE UPSIDE, the price hike isn’t exorbitant and the prices in general are way reasonable for the quality of food you shall all be receiving. When push came to shove, we couldn’t compromise on the quality of produce and meats we use for our tacos, burritos, sliders and quesadillas.

Tacos – $2.29
Calamari Tacos – $3.29
Burritos – $6
Kogi Favorites – $6
Specialty Quesadillas – $8

Combo #1 – $8
Combo #2 – $9
Combo #3 – $11

The price of desserts and drinks shall remain the same.

THE SKIP UP IN PRICES SHALL GO INTO EFFECT NEXT WEEK, 1/9, SO ENJOY 2011 KOGI PRICES THIS WEEK. Our humble New Year’s gift to you all.

Thank you, thank you, thank you everybody for being so amazing!! And, in the spirit of dark humor, I shall embed a video that will teach you the various ways to count all that imaginary money you’ll be saving this week!

The way Koreans count their moneys makes me nervous, the way Indians count their money is delightful, the Turks are just adorable — but I gotta say, the way us Americans count money just seems to make the most sense. It’s efficient, it’s simple and there’s no way you might accidentally miss a bill or two, in case they end up sticking together.

UPDATE ON THE WIZARD SITUATION

Oh, yes. THAT wizard.

saw this update while jogging around my neighborhood

As it turns out, I’ve been HAD! If assumptions serve me correctly (as they hardly ever do), this was just some holiday hipster ploy to get us to follow their new tumblr.

In any case, it looks like the diabolical wizard is safe and enjoying himself on a few road trips. His travels aren’t quite as ambitious as those of Amelie’s magical garden gnome, but it’s good to see he isn’t locked up in some dank closet in Silverlake. YAY!

Love and tacos forever,
Aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

P.S. In unrelated news, much love goes out to the family and memory of Ben Breedlove, who passed away on Christmas Day. This video was uploaded just a week prior to his passing.

By the 2.5 million hits the video’s already received, I’m sure I’m not the first to have been moved by one of his final messages, but I am moved all the same. I had a little scare this morning with someone I love as much as if she were my own. I am so incredibly grateful that everything turned out alright. And watching this video really reminded me that no matter what the outcome, that she would be okay and taken care of.

For all of y’all a-feared of the coming apocalypse, you can be happy to note that Kogi BBQ has taken a public stance against it. Which totally nullifies its power and usurps the possibility of it ever transpiring. And if I’m wrong, I guess we’ll find out December 21st, 2012. And we’ll see who’ll be laughing then.

Assuming that anyone is left to utter a mortal laugh.

And let us remember that we did NOT cry mightily unto God May 21, 2011. Unless it was regarding that guy we were stalking who told us to stop texting him because he was joining Match.com.

Also, let this serve us as a reminder that the Bible’s guarantee is as good as your sixth grade teacher’s WORD.

You know, like the time she promised you that if you kept your perfect attendance up, that you’d grow to become the first minority president of the United States of America. (You LIED to me, Mrs. Pollack! You LIED to ME.)

But if we’re to talk about 2012 prophecies, there apparently are very many that span cultures and centuries all around the globe. Here’s an excerpt from Brad C. Carrigan’s 2012 Enlightened:

Hopi Prophecy - Predict a 25 year period of purification followed by End of Fourth World & beginning of the Fifth.
Mayans Prophecy - Call it the ‘end days’ or the end of time as we know it.
Maoris Prophecy - Say that as the veils dissolve there will be a merging of the physical & spiritual worlds.
Zulu Prophecy - Believe that the whole world will be turned upside down.
Hindus Prophecy - Kali Yuga (end time of man) The Coming of Kalki & critical mass of Enlightened Ones.
Incas Prophecy - Call it the ‘Age of Meeting Ourselves Again’
Aztec Prophecy - Call this the Time of the Sixth Sun. A time of transformation. Creation of new race.
Dogon Prophecy - Say that the spaceship of the visitors, the Nommo, will return in the form of a blue star
Pueblo Prophecy - Acknowledge it’ll be the emergence into the Fifth World.
Cherokee Prophecy - Their ancient calendar ends exactly at 2012 as does the Mayan calendar.
Tibetan Prophecy - Kalachakra teachings are prophesies left by Buddha predicting Coming of the Golden Age.
Egypt Prophecy - According to the Great Pyramid (stone calendar) present time cycle ends in year 2012 A.D.

Now, a lot of these prophecies hold a common thread and none of them seem appear apocalyptic. Even when taking a look at the Mayan prophecy, it’s like half the prophecy of the Hopi prophecy coupled with some new perspectives in the field of science.

Freaking out over the Mayan prophecy is like freaking out after the 3rd season of Battlestar Galactica, screaming, “THAT’S HOW IT ENDS?!!”

Whoa, hold up there, buddy. First of all, there will still be season 4.5 to look forward to. On top of that, there are 3 BSG movies, a slew of really great webisodes, board games and video games, action figures, costumes, t-shirts and its spin-off prequel, Caprica.

It kind of lives on in perpetuity if you think about it.

Also, it says “end of time as we know it.” Well, with all these massive earthquakes, the earth’s axis has wobbled and shifted just a bit. All in all, we’ve officially lost a few seconds per day. In the long run, this means we’ll still look smoking hot by the time we’ve aged 50 earth years. In addition, many existential scientists have been questioning recently as to whether or not time itself is an illusion.

Interesting fact: the word “Maya” literally means “illusion.” O__O

End of time as we know it, the thinning of veils, the world turning upside down, the dropping of a grand illusion — it all sounds pretty spot-on to me. The Mayans talk about an acceleration of time and an era of consciousness in which people from all over the planet can instantaneously reach one another. (Los internets, anybody?)

With the measurement of time itself approaching a gray area, it makes sense that some calendars are ending while others are transitioning into a “new world/sun/age”.

To clarify about the Incans, or, more specifically, the Q’eros of Peru, we are entering a new pachakuti — which is a “cosmic transformation or world reversal in the form of a ‘critical mass’ experience in the complexity of consciousness (specifically human) that ultimately avails a new, distinct, more encompassing paradigm of one’s relation to the self and the living universe” –or, in a nutshell “an era of turning time”(Matthew Magee, Peruvian Shamanism, The Pachakuti Mesa).

What I find interesting is that the Aztecan prophecy talks of transformation into a new race, while the Laika of Peru also speak of humans evolving into “homoluminous” bodies around this point in time.

While I’m not saying that in the year 2012 the year the whole world will party in celebration of the Age of Aquarius, I am saying that it doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the world. And, of course, the Kogi tribe of Colombia have, indeed issued a warning in 1992 that in 20 years (2012) that we will all face dire, dire consequences if the developing worlds do not change their relationship with Aluna/Pachamama/Mother Earth.

Basically: let’s all do our due diligence and I’m sure we will enter the Golden Age/Fifth World/new pachakuti. NO SLACKING OFF IN 2012!! WE DID ENOUGH OF THAT IN THE 90s!!

And with the recent birth of a mainstreaming of eco consciousness, who knows what will come in 2012?

In the meantime, prophecies aside, here are a few pop cultural bright spots in the year 2012:

THE HOBBIT

Peter Jackson can do no wrong! (Though some may argue that King Kong was a grave mistake. And The Lovely Bones -- though, in his defense, it was a horribly sappy novel that never should have introduced romance into the plot line.) Hm. Let me amend my statement. Peter Jackson can do no wrong…in The Shire. Also, I highly recommend his mockumentary Forgotten Silver.

DARK SHADOWS

A Tim Burton remake of the quirky Munsters-Meets-Passions soap opera that stars Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Michelle Pfeiffer. They will be sticking to the original characters and concept of the original soap opera. Siiiigh. Which I wouldn’t mind, except I would really, REALLY love to see Michelle Pfeiffer reprise her role as Catwoman in this unholy mashup of recurring Tim Burton principals.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Though I’m not a fan of the first in the series, I am a ardent fan of The Dark Knight — and Catwoman. I LOVE CATWOMAN. Man, Anne Hathaway looks just yummy and vengeful in her take on the woman even Bat Girl couldn’t hold a candle to. I also love how in this trailer we see a glimpse of her spilling her bittersweet wrath into Bruce Wayne’s ear during an intimate dance at a masquerade ball – which is my 2nd favorite scene in Batman Returns – except in this version, the subject of Selina Kyle’s distain is not a Mr. Max Shrek, but the hypocritical Mr. Bruce Wayne himself. Plus, it’s ALSO starring Marion Cotillard and Jo-Joey Gordon Levitt. DELICIOUS. WHERE CAN I EAT IT?

I also love how Christopher Nolan’s Batman has more of a penchant for brunettes than the blondes of the Tim Burton era.

As for Kogi Kogi Kogi, expect a whole new taste and a whole new swagger sometime in the upcoming year. Can’t give you anything tangible, but TRUST me when I say that it’s gonna be something worthy of this prophetic year.

Love, tacos and beautiful prophecies,
Aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

The universe must be very aware that I have a penchant for MISSING/LOST fliers and strange, unusual things. I was jogging (no worries, I don’t do it very often) around Los Feliz/Hollywood when I came across posters for what looked like a magician’s version of a garden gnome. The actual flier is as follows:

I’m hoping the errant owner doesn’t mind that I did not Photoshop his phone number out of there. I’m assuming that he DOES want to be contacted in the case that someone stumbles upon Dumbledore’s evil cousin.

Yes, evil. And I’m sure it’s not just me who finds the wizard just a tad sinister-looking. Must be the beady little eyes.

To be honest, I’m not sure who would want to kidnap this wizard or how that would even be possible. I’m assuming the wiz has been schooled in simple disarmament charms like expelliarmus and wingardium leviosa . But perhaps he lost his wand in a knife fight. Who knows? Hollywood can be a dangerous place.

I wish I knew the wizard’s back story. What is his name? What is his modus operandi? It certainly would make for an even more compelling LOST poster.

At least I think so…

So yes. Please report back if possible. Because nothing should come in between a boy and his wizard. NOTHING.

On a more serious note, ABOUT SILVER LAKE LAST SATURDAY.

I’ve gotten a few tweets and comment about us busting loose a little early at the 4100 Bar and I’m here to address them. As it stands, the neighborhood’s changed a bit since the last time we parked there and the story goes down as such: another food vendor was angry that we were trespassing on ‘his’ corner, though my contact tells me that he had contacted the bar owner previously and received his okay for Kogi to park there. (I also find it interesting that he considers the corner his, as we were the first food truck to park there in years and have parked there quite regularly for over a year and a half, but whatevers.) The food vendor was physically trying to fight our Kogi staff and letting loose a lot of threats. It got very intense very quickly and our contact for the bar could not be reached by phone during the attempt at a scuffle. Our director of operations told our guys to close down and get out of there before something serious happened.

Again, we apologize for leaving early last Saturday. It was a strange and unnecessarily heated situation and we decided to leave to protect our crew. As badass as they are, they just weren’t looking for a bar fight that night. Just to serve a few tacos. I hope y’all can understand!

Love, tacos and errant holiday magic,
Heeee.

And having wished you a very Kogi Christmas, might I remind everybody that our trucks will be OFF on Christmas Eve and (of course) Christmas Day. ALSO, last week we hit up Silver Lake and this week it’s K-Town. Thank you, everybody, for voting for your neighborhoods HERE and THERE. Looks like we’ve got a few Monrovians trying to build a buzz now. We’re going to do our best to hit up one of these neighborhoods at least once a week once January 6th gets here, if not sooner. The lovely Hawthorne, thank you for your patience! South Bay, we will get to you!

Good lord, I can’t believe Christmas is already here. I know it’s coming when my ma starts emailing me youtube videos — which happens once in a very blue moon. THIS was her pick for the holiday season:

She’s an Aries like me, so she only tends to share things when they UTTERLY AMAZE her. It was probably when the techno kicked in that she jumped outta her seat.

And since we’re already talking about the holidays, we might as well do a little holiday window shopping together.

Also, to recap the Kogi newsletter, I still stand by my recs and advice to gift people (if you have the money to spend) with things and experiences they normally wouldn’t gift themselves because they’re either too much of a luxury, or they’re too embarrassed to get them themselves. My top picks were a psychic reading, an angel reading (for those who think that psychics work with Ba’al), tickets to a Boyz II Men show (they’re singing at Morongo Casino this month!! Only $30!!), a package of circus training classes (you can get 6 classes for $20 each at Cirque School in Hollywood — their motto is “for anybody with any body”) and a colonic/colon-hydrotherapy.

Most everyone I know wants some kind of reading — psychic or otherwise — but don’t want to front the money because $90-$125 per reading is too expensive or because they’re scared of the $20 psychics. (I would be, too.) I recommended Krishanti and Aiden Chase because I’ve met with them both and find them not-scary. They tend to be of the loving, efficient variety that give clear and accurate information without trying to bamboozle you into buying another session.

Angel readings are a little different from psychic readings tend to be based on messages that come through from your angels and/or guides. So while an angel reading might not necessarily tell you when the love of your life is coming in, it may relay the message that it’s time to move on in your career or to resolve an issue that you had with an old friend, that good things are coming to pass.

IN OTHER NEWS — good lord! The entire set of Battlestar Galactica is on sale for under $130!! And speaking of BSG, this little collectible had me “har, har” chuckle. Or is that more of a guffaw?

And, according to NerdApproved, it’s only $29.99! No, I’m not hinting at what I’d like for Christmas! I just think it’s a very reasonable price for such a clever and hilarious collectible!

What sucks about this app is that it’s $30 and only available for the iPhone 4s and not my Droid v1.0. On the upside, it does add a little hope in my heart that people are finally making smart and efficient ways to aid you in finding your parked car. And if you go to Target half as much as I do, this is nothing short of a time saver. LIFEsaver in the context of Disneyland or Magic Mountain.

THIS is an alcohol test gadget. Your own personal breathalyzer. Look, there are gonna be way too many drunk people on the road these upcoming weekends, so it may behoove you to refrain from THAT party in particular. I highly recommend this to that party girl or DD who likes to teetotal a little bit on the side once the festivities are underway.

They can argue with people that they ain’t drunk, but it’ll be harder for them to argue with a machine. Let’s hope.

Okay, so this gadget is aimed for a very very niche market — but for those who are part of this market, I would like to get the word out. THIS is the Talkbox. And it’s for autistic children with major speech impairment.

Stay with me — this actually helps autistic children with major speech impairment to communicate with the ones closest to them. Having worked with some higher-functioning autistic children, I know how challenging it can be to communicate with them, and how frustrating it can be for the kids to let you know what they want or need.

So if you have or know of anyone who has autistic children, this is probably just the thing they’d really appreciate getting for the holidays. You can find out a little more information on how it works HERE.

Oh, and if anyone has any last-minute gift suggestions for someone on a little bit of a budget, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Especially if this suggestion allows for me to somehow avoid the mall or any large superstore.

Love, tacos and holiday hugs,
Aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
