(=^・ω・^)y= L.A.’S 1ST CAT CAFE OPENING UP NEXT TO CHEGO!! <(*ΦωΦ*)>

Okay. Not literally next to Chego. But a few doors down is pretty damn close enough!!! Hence, I miss cue the appropriate mewsic. (IT SHALL ALL MAKE SENSE IN A FUZZY MINUTE.)

THIS OCTUBRE 2-5, Carlos Wong will partner with Chinatown BID and Best Friends LA, a no-kill shelter, for 4 day kitty partayyyy!!! (In other words, George Yu, the benevolent godfather of all things Chinatown is allowing them free rent for 4 days. Don’t we just LOVE him???)

AND THAR SHALL BE MAIDS a la Akibahara.

And BUTLERS a la Tokyo’s Swallowtail Cafe.

IS ANYONE ELSE SWOONING IN CAPSLOCK OR IS IT JUST ME???

For those of you unfamiliar with maid cafes, here are a few pictures I ripped off Pinterest that were ripped off other tumblrs/sites/blogs to give you a better idea.

“Ummmm… doesn’t that seem a little subservient?”

ヽ(°▽、°)ノ <

YES, BECAUSE IT TOTALLY IS!!!

Let me demonstrate the wonderful bits that come with paid and tipped subservience!!

Ok. So I’m 50% sure the city of LA might scale it back a bit, which means I am not all the delightfully certain at all of anything. EXCEPT that there will be a DJ, a Lolita Dark appearance AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY….

(⁎˃ᆺ˂) KITTIES!!! ლ(●ↀωↀ●)ლ ✧

And not only for petting, they will be there for same-day adoption. And, of course, this free event DOES come with a small price. The kitties may beg for a donation to help raise money to make Catfe a more permanent institution of Los Angeles.

So please dew come! Octuber 2-5 (it’s on-route if you’re doing Ciclavia Oct 5!). Thar shall be mewsic, maids, butlers, adoptable kitties, Chego, Scoops, Ten Ren boba and a ride with the Pooh Bear. Far East Plaza, 727 N. Broadway, Chinatown.

SPEAKING OF ADOPTION…

This is Noodle.

And Noodle is a 7-month-old chihuahua puppy that needs a home. Look at his kewt mug and read about how adorable and adoptable he is HERE.

Everything from gas money to all-day parking to hotel stays for out-of-state treatment adds up. And your ticket to the LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade Stand event can help one family stay connected during what could be a very scary treatment. T__T Are you crying yet? Because you SHOULD be!

We’ll be rolling by as well! UCLA, Royce Quad 11AM-4PM this Saturday, September 20th. Again, tickets can be bought HERE.

Love and good karma,
