ROSEMEAD and NORWALK: where to park it?

February 16th, 2010

Hey y’aLL, we’re gonna be in your hood (if your hood happens to be Rosemead or NorwaLk) but we have no idea where to park our trucks! You think you can heLp a troca out?

WHAT WILL HELP US:
* CROSS STREETS or even an exact address
* 200 feet AWAY from a restaurant during business hours (We don’t want to hurt any locaL businesses.)
* 500 feet AWAY from a schooL whiLe in session (LAWS.)
* Somewhere where it’LL be easy for aLL y’aLL to find parking. (Consider it heLping us heLping YOUSE.)

And I think that’s about it.

GRASHUS!

Love and tacos,
Aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

I know you said norwalk or rosemead, but you should try the world of decor parking lot in downey, its right where norwalk, downey, and santa fe springs meet, the address is 11111 florence ave, downey ca, 90241. World of decor is out of biz, its a huge parking lot ( it used to be a costco ) you won’t be interupting and business since its an abandon building, and its right where the 5 and 605 freeways meet

Norwalk: I say the greyhound station on san antonio or where all the county stuff is on imperial between norwalk and bloomfield. I know you can’t do schools but cerritos college wouldn’t be a bad idea, alondra and studebaker

Norwalk: Corner of Firestone and Pioneer. Huge parking lot that used to belong to now defunct Circuit City. Other business nearby are Chinese, Northgate Market, Subway, Starbucks. Closest school is Norwalk High farther than 500ft. Definite great spot for parking and lining up.

Corner of Firestone and Pioneer in Norwalk.

    Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder
is an empty lot at night
    12400 Imperial Highway
    Norwalk, California 90650
    Corner of Imperial and Bloomfield

or just up the street from there is the Metro Station on Imperial…. another good parking spot

I have another suggestion for Norwalk: the church at the corner of Pioneer and Mapledale. Don’t know if it’s too close to the In-N-Out, Rosewood restaurant, or Taco Bell at the corner of Pioneer and Rosecrans, but I thought I’d throw it out there.

dude, best spot in cerritos/norwalk would be near cerritos college off studebaker and 166th. The corner is a strawberry field and there is the back parking lot of cerritos college to park at. Its next to a neighborhood but its an open area with no schools in session during the late hours and no restaurants near the area, but still got free open area. Or another area is across the street from cerritos college on studebaker and alondra. There used to be a kensco market that was open next to CVS but it shut down, so it got a large parking lot and open space. Not even near a restaurant. I think the second choice is the best cause theres more light too.

Best Spot for Norwalk would have to be right in front of cerritos college off studebaker and alondra. There used to be a kensco market next to a CVS that has a lot of parking spaces and its open to the public. I like this spot cause its still lite well in consideration to the world of decor spot. also its near neighborhoods so you know you know the spot should be safe. Next spot would be off 166th and studebake next to a strawberry field. You can use the cerritos college parking lot and have open space a lighting for your customers. Plus its next to a neighborhood too so its chill too.

Yeah… Pioneer and Firestone. Lots of Parking, You can use an old Circuit City Parking Lot, and everything will be closed by then. It’s well lighted and secure. Good spot.

World Decor is on the border of Downey/Norwalk..
That would be a good spot if your able to use it since it right off the 605/5 fwy and has a HUGE empty lot.

If not, the Greyhound Station/Old Town street would be ok but not enough parking IMO.

there are 2 schools. Cerritos College on Alondra and Studebaker. and the ABC Adult School (which is your better choice) on 166 and Norwalk.

This spot is like 5 minutes away from Rosecrans & Beach. On the southeast corner of First & Leffingwell in Whittier. Huge parking lot, minimal business traffic in quiet strip mall. Check it out Perfect spot! Just north of Lambert and the railroad tracks.

PS r u gonna be at Rosecrans this week?

    NORWALK WANTS KOGI!!

Pioneer and Firestone is a GREAT SPOT with the circuit city out of business now, there’s TONS of parking.

Also right by Cerritos College (Come on students of Cerritos College! Let’s get Kogi to our neck of the woods!)

    Alondra and Studebaker!

    Regarding rosemead

Yeah, definitely agree with the people up there. That one parking area where Target/Coldstone/Jamba Juice/etc… is at. Everything should be closed by 10PM. AND the parking lot if HUGE(about 300 parking spaces?) Also, the 10 freeway entrance/exit is right there, just exit Rosemead blvd. People are just getting off work and they are hungry too, which is a good thing for you. haha

In Norwalk you can park it on Firestone and San Antonio by the Greyhound Station (on First St.-oldest St. in Norwalk) or by Norwalk Records. The parking lot is big and there are no other restaurants in the lot. Check it out

Firestone off the 605 freeway, west of the 605 Target, Office Depot, & Starbucks parking lot after 10pm plenty of parking…

    March 8th, 2010

Agree with two of the posts above that just north of the 10 on Rosemead Blvd would be great! That parking lot is huge and it’s easy freeway access.

Another option I like is the the intersection of Almansor St and Camelia Dr in Alhambra. It is just south of Valley behind the Big Lots/Staples, etc. For locals, it is also home of the “giant-empty-parking-lot-that-no-one-parks-in-but-everyone-in-high-school-went-there-to-learn-how-to-drive”. That street is only really used as access for delivery for the businesses just north of Camelia. The noise there should be pretty isolated and it’s a really flat/open area.

There are some “restaurants” in that area but I don’t think they stay open late and that street is long enough to probably find a spot 200 feet away easily.

Please at least drive by this location to see how it works out!
