    as someone with a pork allergy, is chef ever considering a porkless alternative? I do NOT mean vegetarian but like a “Poker Quesadilla” (same as Black Jack but with chicken instead of pork)

    I tried this last night at their Northridge stop, and like anything else that Kogi serves, this is the best quesadilla I ever had. I’ll order this regularly on top of my Kogi Dogs.

    Guys what ever you are doing to the Quesadilla keep up the good work. Had one last Thursday at Central/Japantown location and I again say that this is the best Effin thing I ever ate. Also i want to give you all kudos for listening to us consumers/fans, i remember when there were a few times the meat quality was fatty and a few people said something about it, then *presto* everything has been spot on since. Keep this item on the menu please. See you this Thursday.

    P.S Why is no one showing Northridge some love? You guys should talk to CSUN about having your truck stop on the campus. Yea im a student lol.

    Hi! Was wondering, if this black jack quesadilla is on the menu for the koogi truck? or is it offered only in alibi? Thanks in advance!

    September 17th, 2009

    I can’t get enuff. These guys have the best damn menu. Close ur eyes and point, and im sure you will enjoy any item served up. Just got the blackjack from Verde in Altadena and was tempted to order a second Blackjack to eat on the way home. And i live half a mile from the truck :P :P

    In response to Tony’s comment : Seems like you dont understand business, in particular supply and demand. Until they know how something will sell on a regular basis, they will continue to be out of certain items at certain times. As well there might be space issues considering they are on a truck and do not have unlimited space.

    Not sure if anyone else has done this or is aware, but you CAN order the blackjack with any choice of filling. I ordered a tofu one on Tuesday night and my husband got a chicken one. Both of them were amazing (of course).

    I am a veteran when it comes to the Kogi truck!
    I love your food, but sometimes you leave out an ingredient on my order. Last week at the chatsworth location in front of applebees and by Winnetka theatre, I waited an hour and a half for my 8 shortrib tacos, 2 burritos, and 2 shortrib kimchi quesadilla. when I got home, I quickly realized that there was NO shortrib in the quesadilla!!!! I felt JIPPED!!! For the amount of food I ordered, and the time I spent waiting in line… I definitely think I should get some kind of compensation on my next order. Is there any way I can get my 2 orders of the quesadilla?

  • chunk-gry
    February 17th, 2010

    what are the prices? do you really have to get there early?

  • Eric Shin
    February 18th, 2010

    @chunk-gry Tacos – $2, Sliders – $5, Burritos – $5, Kogi Dog – $5, Kimchi Quesadilla – $5, Calamari Tacos – $3, Blackjack Quesadilla – $7, Sweet Chili Chicken Quesdadilla – $7, Bluemoon Mulita – $3, Tres Leches Cake – $4.

    Some stops are busier than most. General rule of thumb is the closer the the center of Los Angeles we are, the smaller the lines and shorter the wait. Further we travel to the valley, south bay, or inland empire, the larger lines and longer our wait times are.
